When your organization has multiple users and you want to synchronize only specific user accounts or an entire organizational unit during integration with Josys, then you can do so in the following two ways:
- Assign users to the custom administrative role
- Assign users to the organizational unit
This article explains the steps to creating a custom administrator role and assigning users to that role and organizational unit.
Creating an Administrative Role for Synchronizing Specific Users
If you prefer not to use a super administrator’s account for integration with Josys or you want to import users belonging to a specific Organizational Unit on Google Workspace, you can create a dedicated administrative role and use that admin account for integration.

1. Steps to Create a Custom Administrative Role
Step 1: In your Google Workspace Admin Console, select Admin roles from the Account menu and click Create new role.
Step 2: Enter the role name and description and click Continue.
Step 3: Select the privileges to assign to the user role, click Continue, and then click Create Role. When you assign administrator permissions in the Admin console, the corresponding management API resource permissions are also granted.
This is how a role an administrative role is created. Now, assign members to this role whose accounts you will be using for integration.
2. Steps to Assign the Members to the Administrative Role
Step 1: On the following screen, click Assign members.
Step 2: Select the members and click Assign Role. If you would like to import users from only a specific Organizational Unit, select that particular Organizational Unit.
Note: If you select a specific Organizational Unit in the above step, all users within that unit—as well as users in its child Organizational Units—will be imported.
